September has been wetter than usual so far totaling 4.38" against a 30-year-average of 3.26 for the entire month. The water year total is 51.15" to date and is 8.89" above normal. Streams are full, and we have observed that low spots in agricultural fields have drowned out patches of corn and beans in some due to excess rain. Generally plant growth is strong and there is concern with getting crops harvested if this level of precipitation continues.
