The 1.41” we received yesterday was so very helpful. Especially as the first half of it came down slowly and all sunk in. And then the second half came several hours later and was also able to really sink in. Didn’t do much for streams, etc., but it surely helped the top layer of the soil, which was getting severely dry. Everything started growing up immediately, bringing it back from the edge. Bees and butterflies continue to be active, but probably not quite as much as in a “normal“ year. We still are in the midst of our long-term drought and needs several inches of good rain to get us out of it. Durham still underwater restrictions.
