Prior to yesterday's rain our soil was bone dry. Trees are dropping their leaves. Many of our trees have brown leaves.  Creeks and lake levels are way below normal. Boneset is blooming but not much else. Watering my trees, shrubs & flowers daily to try to keep them alive. Birds are migrating. An armadillo showed up in my yard, destroying my heavily mulched beds, looking for grubs in my composted soil
