1.46 inches of rain this week is a blessing. The vegetation is trying to perk up but the heat and dryness has either killed the plants or made them go dormant. The rain was enough to put the moisture together in our fields so I can plant triticale and alfalfa next week. Harvest of the fall crops is underway in this area. The farmers I have talked to are disappointed with the yields.
