Sunny and warm with light winds, then mostly clear and cool overnight with light winds. The high temperature was around sixty nine degrees, and the low around forty nine degrees Fahrenheit. Songbirds are eating a feederful every day. Goldenrod, Prunella vulgaris, Japanese Knotweed, Soapwort, Chickory and Horse Nettle flowers are in full bloom. Apples are ripening.  All corn have cobs from 6" to 12". Blackbirds are beginning to flock. The local intermittent stream is running at fall levels and the nearby trout stream is flowing at late-summer levels.
