At least at my location, no rain for another week -- only 0.05 for the period since July 17...So drought is real here. There have been storms and showers in the area, they just avoid us! Fire is a constant issue - burn bans in place; more attention to watering schedules is promoted. Leaves are falling readily, and lawns are dormant if not watered. Gardens are transitioning to fall crops, but getting them ready is harder working with parched soil. We are ready for a change, especially cooler days!
