After a brief reprieve in July, it has become drier than it was prior.  No significant rainfall since, and September is at a severe deficit.  We are now more than 10 inches below normal ytd, based on 30 year averages. Most grasses have stopped growing and are turning brown.  Any garden plants need regular watering to prevent death.
