Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: KS-JO-130
Station Name: Gardner 2.9 N
Report Date: 9/7/2026
Submitted: 9/07/2026 7:48 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
16 days since my last report. Historic heat and dry weather has made us go from Near Normal, to Mildly Dry+. 0.15" of precip during those 16 days, and average high temperature of 94° has changed conditions quickly. YTD precip we are at 31.93" which is 3.31" above Normal, but with only 0.12" for September, we are only at 13% of Normal precip for the month. Soil conditions are very dry, and crops and grass fields are showing heat stress for sure. Lakes and ponds are doing ok, but slightly lower over this stretch, with algae or algae blooms are prevalent or in warning stages in areas of most bodies of water. Boat ramps are just slightly lower than normal but not a problem yet. Tomorrow looks to be our last day at or near 100° for the next 10+ days, with precip chances on 3 or 4 days as well so hopefully this long heat and dry stretch will be over.
