Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CA-DN-1
Station Name: Crescent City 5.5 NNE
Report Date: 9/7/2026
Submitted: 9/07/2026 3:18 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Going with "Mildly dry" only bc we are not yet out of the woods, but SO SO CLOSE to being back into the "Normal" areas on the Climatology dials after getting 1.77" of rain over 3 days, Sept. 1-4. Before the rain we were YTD -13.8 (67%), and WYTD -14.6 (79%); after event YTD was still below at 72% (-11.75") , but WYTD sneaked over into Near Normal at 82% (tho' still -12.6)

Before the rain our groundwater dip stick was down another 3.5 " from ; after the event, it was back up by 18.5", to just 5" below what it was the end of June . Nice little recharge, but not yet back to end-of-June base level ("0")
Ground surfaces, forest logs etc. are still wet, soil holding it well, very little run-off bc it was a nice, slow rain. HOWEVER, Burn bans still in officially in effect, with all outdoor burning still suspended. :(

Garden has shifted into monster overdrive: zukes, squashes, beans, peas, cabbages, beets; tomatoes finally decided it was summer. Have started 2nd plantings. Wild blackberries & huckleberries peaking.
