It's getting hard to assess the dryness. I'll still call it near normal, but it's tending toward mildly dry. I've measured 0.31" of rain in the past seven days;  not great after a series of dry weeks To appearances, conditions are typical, with a bit of dieback due to the season. Fire danger remains low. However, gardens need water, some (not all) streamflows are down, and area trails that are usually muddy are not. It will be good to see rain arrive one of these days.
