A lot of moisture in the air last week with very little rain. The clear water in the creek bottom does not appear to be flowing downstream. A smoke detector mounted in a hall near water heater and washing machine failed routine test during morning fog last week and I assumed it was due to alkaline battery discharge as usual, but it turned out to be equipment failure requiring replacement two years before the anticipated service life. According to the new product literature, the type of moisture in that area may contribute to product malfunction.
