Since last reported on 08/30/2026, recorded a total gauge catch of 0.04" on 08/31/2026. Total gauge catch for August 2026 was 0.93". Checking topsoil today was difficult as my garden shovel could only penetrate about one inch down from the surface. What little soil I got was dry and dusty. Mowed the yard one last time around the perimeter of the house. It was mostly for knocking down the weeds as the grass is almost non-existent. Providing supplemental water to trees that were planted last year. Not seeing many birds compared to last week. With our soil continuing to dry out, I have revised the Condition Scale from Moderately Dry to Severely Dry.
