The South Fork of the Crow River where County Rd 2 crosses it between Glencoe and Silver Lake is dropping lower than before. There is a lot of silt showing!
When my daughter was hoeing in the garden there were puffs of dust each time a weed fell over. The watermelon vines are wilted and almost crispy. The dust rises every time a car drives by on the road. Soybean fields are turning golden - it seems much too early for that!
Really, we could use some rain!!
