.65" since last report, spread over several days, brings total to 5.01" for the calendar year.  There are scattered areas of green grass on hills that haven't been badly overgrazed, but otherwise hills are brown.  Now-ripening tomatoes are the only vegetable produce this summer; the rest didn't withstand the earlier high heat.  The creek is dry after running briefly just after rain.
