After all that rain in the middle of August (I recorded 8.75" for the month of August) I have recorded only .14" of rain the past 2 weeks. The past week the temperature has been in the mid 90's with the heat index in the 105 degree range. My lawn is starting to show some stress due to the intense heat and lack of rain. Some soybean fields are starting to turn yellow. Corn fields are turning brown with healthy looking ears bursting at the seams.
