Description:
0.03 received thus far for the month. Main focus of the week was the heat. Feel free to read daily station observations/comments for more details. The 5th was the worst day of the heat. After all week being so hot, it felt worse overall. Seatbelt temp readings were 125F. Still decent attendance for outdoor events, despite over hearing how hot it was on the 5th. After a local car show that day, we decided to stay inside. Some mowing was witnessed, in addition to using lawn sprinklers. Increase in allergies. Slight increase in bugs/bees/gnats. Personal note, my Dog treed another squirrel. Some leaves are changing colors and the grass is kinda getting brown in some patches. Despite the heat, most seemed prepared with extra hydrating, shade breaks, AC breaks etc. Did not see many with extreme sun burn or heat illness. Although, the heat this week did seem to make people strenuous, extra tired, and prone to heat induced agitation/aggravation/lack of toleration much easier and more frequently. Going to keep staying cool, and looking forward to heat relief and perhaps a chance of rain this week. : ) : )
