Yesterday's 0.01 was the first recordable rain since July 17 -- which gives some idea of the conditions. While there have been scattered showers in the area, we have avoided any. The heat has used any soil moisture from that time, so constant watering of gardens is required, and fire is a constant worry. Our birdbath has been busy with visitors, a pleasant sight from our kitchen. Still no forecast relief from this pattern.
