With another 1.37” of rain this week, conditions are now mildly wet for the first week of September. The Pascoag Reservoir is back up to 8’11” and just below spillway level. Local boaters are taking advantage of the nice weather and water levels getting out on the lake cruising, fishing and tubing while we still can. The lawn is growing quickly and needs mowing more than once per week and the tomatoes are producing like crazy. A bumper crop this year. We’re starting to see more roadkill on local roads as various critters are getting ready for winter. Crows, woodpeckers, sparrows and catbirds have been busy. Fire danger at George Washington state campground is posted as Low. The Clear River Electric and Water district continues its odd/even day water restrictions.
