The cool and dry conditions of late August gave way to rainy and muggy this past week.  Nearly two inches of rain in the gauge the past 4 days.  Grass got quite high but still not thick.  Never really gave way to weeds this summer!  Streams are robust but not overflowing.  Bugs have gotten bad, especially bees and gnats.
