Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IA-LN-49
Station Name: Cedar Rapids 2.1 NW
Report Date: 9/1/2026
Submitted: 9/01/2026 1:54 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Total August precipitation total 5.17 inches. That is slightly above NOAA and Prism normals. No drought continues. Pollen counts are still on the increase, so allergy sufferers continue to be aware of that. Still monitoring the UVI and wearing the sunscreen. Mowing was not required this week. The birds continued to leave branch and leaf messes all along the yard. Huge Daddy Long Leg Spider on my front door. It was the size of a baseball. Slight increase in moths, gnats, and other bugs. Looking towards this week, focus is the Heat Increase. Stay cool, hydrated, and use sunscreen. Happy First Day of Meteorological Fall everyone!
