it was amazing how quickly the top soil dried out following the excess rains of the weeks prior.  Finally, most folks got caught up with their lawn mowing and the farmers got in another cutting of hay before the weekend rains arrived.  Flowers recognize the time of year with golden rod and mums showing off their beauty.  The corn and soybeans are beginning to show signs of maturation with yellow leaves.
