A little rain fell the second half of the week.  The creek remained dry.  Dry spots of grass were still in lawns, fields, and pastures.  A few green and fewer colored leaves fell to the ground, maple, poplar, and a few oaks along with very few other trees I don't know.  Very few colored leaves were on a few branches on a few trees, mostly maples and poplars.  Few farmers cut and stored hay.  Most were still concerned about the lack of rain which could kill the grasses and legumes by not having enough water in the ground to regrow.  Soybean plants had small seeds in the pods.  Some spots in soybean fields had yellow leaves, they could be ripening or drying up.  Corn had small kernels on the cobs but some stalks had no cobs.  Varmints were still likely hiding in the corn and soybean fields.  Few cranes were seen nearby during the week, maybe another field fed better.  A few fawns were seen with no spots.  Wildfire danger did drop a bit with the sprinkles but on other days it was in the moderate range.  Apples continued to fall, a few ripe ones mixed with green ones.  Tansey flowers were more brown than yellow, I didn't see new flowers.  A few goldenrod flowers opened during the week, nowhere near a quarter of the flowers yet.
