It has been a dry couple of weeks. There has not been any notable measurement of precipitation for 14 days. However, the month of August is ending with a surplus of measured rain for a monthly total of 4.67" (+0.92" or 124% of NOAA Norm). YTD and WYTD also continue to have surplus NOAA Norm measurements. Grass remains green but has slowed growth. Beans also appear healthy. Corn has begun to dry down this past week, with stalks already turning yellow. Area rivers are low. Lot of battles at the hummingbird feeder.
