Overall, our current precipitation for August is 7.97", 4.33" above normal. Our 30-year-average for 2025-2026 water year is 46.77 inches to date and 4.60" above normal. A wet August made it hard to mow our hay fields until the last few days. Normally we cut twice a year, however only once this year. Agricultural fields of corn and beans have done well and it appears to be a good harvest year. Area streams are now back to normal levels after periods of flooding in some areas in Licking County.
