No drought trend continues. Thus far for the month we have had an even spread with 11 days of zeroes and 12 days of precipitation. Rain total for the month as of today’s CMR is 4.81. Decrease in bird activity, perhaps due to the migration that occurred mid week. Mushroom growth on the decrease as well, perhaps due to less rain this week. Overall it was a pretty decent weather week. Lots of outdoor activities, yard work, etc. Not too bad for the near end of August. AC and fans were needed. Was able to open windows a couple evenings for some fresh cool night air. Pollen counts are on the rise, so allergies are on the increase. AQI low to moderate. Personal Note-on the 18th a huge limb fell out of a tree. It was not particularly windy that day. Perhaps this ties in with the Bird Migration. Looking ahead-the forecast looks fantastic with highs in the 80s lows in the 60s. No rain in the forecast until next weekend, so enjoy the nice August Weather! Also, I would like to Wish all involved in Education a Great Start to the School Year : ) : )
