We have had just .36 of rainfall so far in August. We are very dry because we’ve been in the 100 degree range for a couple of weeks now with a few 90’s thrown in to keep us from  exploding!

I am a bird watcher so go out several times a day to refresh the bird bath water. Our yard is completely brown for the most part. I don’t water “grass” with the lack of water we have. We have been trying to keep our native plants going that I’ve planted in the last year. I’ve lost several of them even with daily watering. 

I live at the north end of Grand Lake. In spring, the lake was 7 foot over normal. Right now, it’s a half foot below normal. With no rain coming, it will keep going down.
