0.26” rain this week. Creeks and seeps not flowing at all. The 17th was our hottest day of the year so far, 98F. Beans and corn ranging from forest green to lime green to yellow and brown. Tobacco yellowing, more hay down. One horse-drawn binder cutting corn. More trees starting to show color. Walnuts dropping leaves with every breeze. Partridge peas are plentiful and looking great, goldenrod blooming. Does and fawns out, hens but no poults. Cicadas by day and katydids still strong at night; only 2 fireflies in a Lonely Hearts club. The Hummingbird Air Force (HAF) still going strong.
