It's been another wet week with 1.54" of rain, 6.28" in the last 30 days. The ground remains nearly saturated. Corn seems to be doing well, but soybeans in low lying areas are struggling. Significant and long lived standing water in fields is attracting shore birds (Greater Yellowlegs), Canada Geese, frogs, and lots of dragonflies. Mosquitoes have become a serious nuisance. Vegetable garden production remains strong. Lawn is lush and needs frequent mowing. Local creek maintains a steady, relatively moderate flow.
