Our soil is depleted of moisture even though we've had tiny showers. Black gum trees are turning red. Oaks & other hardwoods are showing stress & leaves are brown. Creeks & lake levels are low. Vegetation is brown. Hickory trees throwing off lots of nuts. Daily winds are drying everything out. Area lakes full of algae in coves.
