Merrimack River is at3.11 feet. Still has banks one can walk along and and rocks still seen from Manchester Street Bridge. Deck wet when I first went outside this morning. Seems really dry. Neighbors who don’t water their trees and flowers are losing them. We water our flowers every day at least once. Golden Rod is blooming. All kinds of flying insects are going crazy on them. Three black wasps and an occasional bee ?? seen on them. Cloudy this morning.
Don’t know about farms and how well they’re doing. Our rhubarb is over and done with. Asparagus has tall vines. Chives are thriving well. Occasional raspberry. No chipmunks seen in the garden. Some kind of gray mouse comes out from under the house at the gap in the skirting. Lots of acorns from our huge oak. No squirrels taking advantage of them. Using only fans to cool off. Had a fire up in the mountains in northern New Hampshire a couple weeks ago, but it seems to be out. Fires in Canada above our state. No water restrictions. Tourism good. Heavy traffic going north every Thursday and Friday and going south on every Sunday and Monday.
