With .72" of rain this week it brings the total month-to-date to 2.94" which is 106% of PRISM normal for August. The grass is green and vegetation is healthy but I see that local streams are just at a trickle and drainage ditches are mostly empty. I planted a few mums this week and noticed that the soil a few inches down is still very dry.
