Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MA-BA-57
Station Name: Falmouth 5.7 N
Report Date: 8/23/2026
Submitted: 8/23/2026 7:14 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
0.48” in the preceding week; only 0.61” MTD. After a very generous July, August is looking rather a bust. July’s bounty did have lingering results – only in the past week have neighborhood lawns begun to brown out. Most plant species still appear to be doing fine, with seasonal color change and fruit production gradually picking up speed. Veggie garden continues to go (mostly) gangbusters. Pond level is normal, as is wildlife activity – which included pleasant observations of two species that often elude my view: a bold young buck on the bike path this morning, and a Cedar Waxwing yesterday. This is fine habitat for them and they’re certainly around, but that was the first time I’ve actually seen one in quite a few years.
