Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: TN-MC-16
Station Name: Lafayette 4.5 SE
Report Date: 8/23/2026
Submitted: 8/23/2026 5:28 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
We received .83 inches of rain but it has been another hot drying week. The streams, creeks, and ponds are normal but the rain-fed pond and wet weather springs are lower. lots of tobacco has been cut and housed but lots more to cut. Field crops still look good and pasture holding up well. Quite a bit of hay cut this week. Gardens still producing lots of produce. Cattle doing well. Wildlife doing really well, seeing lots of deer, squirrel, and plenty of birds. The timber is beginning to show the stress of two weeks of hot, drying weather, but the poplar showing the most right now with the so many leaves already changing color. Lots of mast for the wildlife to eat. Our condition seems to be catching up with the condition monitoring map that's been released all summer for our area. We are blessed.
