High temps coupled with no rain is resulting in a widespread drying out. Temperatures have been near, or above, 100 F every day this week and I have measured only 0.01 inches of rain since July 15. Grasses in the area are beginning to show some stress but the countryside remains abundantly green. The USGS reports the Llano River at Hwy 87 is flowing at 246 cfs compared to the 53-year median of 105 cfs. There are no burn bans in effect.
