Station Name: Reynoldsburg 0.7 SW
Report Date: 8/22/2026

Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
I was unable to file my report last Saturday, so This report is for the period between Aug 9- Aug 22 (as of my usual obs time this morning at 7:30 am.)

We have received multiple training thunderstotms during the past two weeks...and 10.34" (plus a T on 2 days) of rain; 3.19" was from a storm during the overnight period between Aug 19th and 20th.
During this time (Aug 12) we also had a Derecho...with multiple trees and power lines down, nearby tornado (and a vortex of some sort in my Own yard), as well as flooding in the area. (I made several calls to my local NWS with reports, via my SKYWARN connection).

As of now, in my immediate neighborhood, trees have been taken care of and electrical lines repaired.
There is no residual ponding, but the soil is very moist and every time it rains even a little bit, there is immediate ponding in low lying areas.

I haven't observed nearby streams this week, since the storm on the 19th, but when I drove past some on the 16th they were very full and running fast.

Plants and trees are green. There are more fungi of various sorts in my yard and the ground in some areas has more of a moldy smell to it.

During the overnight storm on the 19th- 20th, I happened to look out briefly...and saw a Groundhog Racing up my big oak tree in the front yard! (The ground was quickly flooding everywhere, so he was no doubt scrambling to get away!)

Water quality is good, in spite of all the local flooding.
