Wasn’t too warm this week, mid to upper 80’s with some rain, 3/4”. I was able to operate open platform tractors. I’m 76 so I don’t work in hot weather.
Row croppers have been chopping silage and some started shelling high moisture corn. Yields are the best ever. Not too much rain this growing season but timely rains. The corn never showed signs of wilting. Cow-calf operators are saying the same. Some are starting to cut second crop grass hay.
Small impoundments are slowly dropping. The easy rain never resulted in much runoff.
