Recent isolated cells provided some rain accompanied by lightning to certain areas, a lot of brown lawns and watering is required to keep the lawn and garden going. No major fires in our direct vicinity but still large fires in the province. ORV ban in place for the forest roads and total fire ban still active till October. Lake and river at normal levels but small streams have all but dried up. Smoke levels have dropped and recreation has resumed, but still a light haze visible limiting long range visibility. Missed the eclipse due to heavy smoke cover but hope it is clear enough now to catch some of the Perseid meteors.
