Two days of near one inch of rain have helped aliviate our fire danger and encouraged a range of mushroom types.  In the garden, trying to move from watering daily to mulching. The mulch pile (pinestraw and mostly oak leaves) is dry most of the depth.  A few pollinators visiting the milkweed plantings, and a few bumblebees coming to the luffa flowers and peppers in the garden. There were honeybees way up high in the sumac blooms a few days ago.
