Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IL-CP-1
Station Name: Homer 2.0 N
Report Date: 8/16/2026
Submitted: 8/16/2026 10:48 AM
Scale Bar: Severely Wet
Description:
Rain on 5 of 7 days this week totaling 5.77 inches, with 3.13" on 8/14. Total for the month is 7.21". Ground is saturated, the Salt Fork is in flood. I'm sure there is standing water in the corn and soybeans, but it's impossible to tell with the crops well established. No flooding here, but ditches are full. Water is pouring over the Homer Lake spilling. Only a month or so ago it was several inches below the spillway. River is out of it's banks in a few locations. The Salt Form hit its fourth highest crest early this morning north of St. Joseph, where the river gauge is located. It will be days before I can mow my lawn because of standing water.
