1.77 inches of rain fell this week, and MTD is 282% of the NOAA 30-year norm. Every day this week has been gloomy and humid, even when it was’t raining, Daytime Dew Points in the 70’s. Can’t remember grass ever this green and lush at any point in the growing season. Rain has meant I was spared from hours of watering. The many dry hours meant that we could release newly emerged Monarch butterflies into the garden. Hummingbirds are flocking to the feeders and zinnias, fueling up for migration to Mexico.
