Precipitation of .64" was welcome over the past 7 days, giving a tint of green back to the prairie. Moderating temperatures,cloud cover, and less wind helped too. We still need a lot of rain though. We're still well below average at 84%, 69%, and 78% of monthly, calender year, and water year averages, respectively. Water sources continue to get lower. I haven't heard of any local fires last week. Soil moistue is very low, especially the upper profiles. Continue to see good recruitment for deer, antelope, and sharptail grouse. Lawn looks a little better.
