Pokeweed berries are turning purple and the birds are after them. Female summer tanager on the deck rail surveying then snatching poke berries as if she was waiting for peak ripeness. Does and fawns coming up in the yard to eat pears. A bachelor party of six toms/jakes strolled past mid afternoon one day, a coyote on the same path early the next morning. Hen turkeys grazing in the yard but still no poults. We've always seen poults well before this.
