Time to hang out the “mildly dry” shingle. This station has received only 0.10” of rainfall in the preceding week, and only 0.13” so far in August. Local vegetation still appears to be mostly living large on July’s bounty – have noticed no signs of stress in local species. Garden is approaching late-summer status, with many plants producing generously. Looks like a good cranberry harvest ahead, based on bog walks. Starting to see some autumn color turn in a few species. Pond level and wildlife activity are normal.
