Nearby Corn, soybeans and alfalfa continue to look healthy. This week's 2.32"of rain helps. I'm picking ripe tomatoes, kale and green peppers.  Sweet potatoes show some blossoms. Grapes are almost ready to pick. Grass in yard and pasture are growing fast and need mowing again. Doe and fawns are noted in pasture and alfalfa field. I haven't seen the fox. Lots of butterflies on wildflowers. I've seen Monarchs traveling through. No power outages this week. Good. The hard rains really cleaned the solar panels. After the last 24 hour's rain of 1.92" there was water running in the overflow creek and pond but three hour later the creek no longer had running water and pond seemed to be absorbing the water. The low end of the sheep pasture wasn't even spongy. Mid August can be like that. Rains soak in.
