With only 0.19” of rain this week conditions are near normal for mid August. The Pascoag Reservoir is down to 9’0” and trickling over the spillway. Trails at Sprague Farm are very dry and streams are still slightly flowing which is typical for this time of year. Lots of mushrooms had popped up along the trails with the rains in July but are starting to shrivel up with the dryness over the last couple of weeks. Lots of activity from crows and mallards and hummingbirds are still frequent visitors to the feeder. Boating, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding remain popular on the lake. Fire danger posted at George Washington state campground remains Low.
