Station precipitation has totaled 5.71 so far in 2026 and 1.48 during the past 3 months, both totals roughly half of the seasonal period average. In addition, temperatures for all these periods have been several degrees above average. This has resulted in extremely dry conditions. Some mountainous areas had varying amounts of rainfall in July but since have been dry, with fire danger having returned to extreme at all elevations currently.
