Description:
The wetter rain pattern which started in July is showing improvements to water supply indicators. Prior dry conditions caused by the prior two years of below average precipitation have not yet been overcome, particularly for streamflow and unconfined groundwater. With the ongoing Drought Warning, New Jerseyans are urged to continue to Use Water Wisely and continue to conserve water, particularly outdoors.

Between 0.46 and 7.35" inches of precipitation (average of 2.71 inches) were observed between last week’s Drinking Water Supply Indicators (8/2/26) and this week’s (8/9/26).
