Close to 1.5" of rain in the past week has helped to keep plants (especially crabgrass) green but the soil is still rather dry.  My town is now in D0 conditions but towns with D1 conditions are just a few miles south.  Considering the dryness I haven't heard of any wildfire problems. All towns have mandatory water restrictions in effect.  I think we are in transition from late Spring/Summer flowers to Fall flowers which haven't arrived yet.  Animal life seems to be normal with nothing special to report.
