It's tempting to report on the Condition Scale Bar that it's Severely Dry; however, five miles north of this station, it's drier & the pastures are brown. Curiously, wildlife continue to show up. There are 2-3 new species of hummingbirds that have joined this summer residents, the Black-chinned, at the bird feeders. On July 18th the Rufus, the Broad-tailed & perhaps even the Calliope have been feeding here before they continue their journey on to Mexico. These new hummingbirds have been identified by the Merlin ID app.
