Description:
A hot week with monsoon moisture making it feel humid and uncomfortable. The highs were in the 90's everyday except one, when it was 88°. The high of the week was 94° on Sunday and Tuesday. Lows were also warm and in the 60's everyday except one, when it was 57° on Friday. Measurable rain fell on three different days for a total of .48 inches for the week but several days had thunderstorms nearby with a lot of lightning. No strong winds, just some gusts with storms. No change in the wildland and open areas which are green with grasses and plants with some wildflowers. Saw a Western Tanager a couple of times. First time I've seen one outside of spring. Also, saw a Scrub Jay visiting the garden. This is in addition to finches, sparrows, and hummingbirds. Garter snakes were also seen several times.
